Completely redesigned DZone.com, a site with over a million registered members and 140k+ daily pageviews. Worked on this project from conception to completion. At the very early stage, I did research (interview and observation) to figure-out user needs, then created persona and scenarios based to those research. After that, I created many many options of wireframes and low-fi mockups until all the stake holders agreed on a single direction. From there I divided the project into few different parts. Worked in an Agile environment for the rest of the project, where I worked on a small section and passed it on to the developers. Lastly, we tested (mostly internally) and revised each section.
For this project I work very closely with the stake holders (including company's CEO and CTO) and developers. I also helped implement lots of the prototypes. I kept my focus on quality and scalability at all times.
DZone.com resign has given the site a platform for it's next phase of growth. Pageviews have increased from ~140k+ to ~200k daily. Session duration on the site has increased 28%, and returning visitors have increased by 17% (41% to 58%). We have also seen 25% increase in new user registration. The redesign has also given the company a new platform to get revenue, which increased it's booking by ~118%.
